CertificateAuthorities, or CAs, are organizations that act as third-party verifiers and validators of digital identities and certificates. They are responsible for issuing, revoking, and renewing digital certificates that are used to authenticate the identity of computers and devices connected to a network.

For information about CAs, please view guidance on this topic from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
